COMMON COMMUNITY ISSUES
SOME OF THE ISSUES WE FACE AS A COMMUNITY ARE CONCERNS WITH FLOODING, SHORE DRIVE DEVELOPMENT AND DENSITY, TRAFFIC THROUGH LYNNHAVEN COLONY, CRIME AND VANDALISM IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND RESPONSIBLE USE OF OUR MARITIME RESOURCES.
WE CONTINUE TO WORK WITH THE CITY AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS SUCH AS SHORE DRIVE COMMUNITY COALITION AND LYNNHAVEN RIVER NOW TO PRESERVE THE SHORE DRIVE CORRIDOR AND ENSURE THIS REMAINS A FAMILY-FRIENDLY AREA TO LIVE.
WE HOPE THE CITY WILL PURSUE RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUE TO PARTNER WITH US TO ENSURE WE MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER.

The civic league continues to work on your behalf with the city however, If you have concerns with a particular issue, I encourage you to attend a city council meeting. You can also contact a council member. Though we try to have city representatives come to meetings, you can reach out and voice your opinion on the city surveys or to city representatives. If you have a particular concern or issue you would like the civic league to help with, please contact a member of the executive committee.
